As believers, we cannot always know why, but we can always know why we trust God who knows why. A Christian says, 'I do not understand you in this situation, but I understand why I trust you anyway.'" (Os Guinness)
I trust God is doing good through all of these things I don't understand or see no reason for. I trust Him to work and to move and to stir my heart to love Him more because I know His character. I know Him to be perfectly faithful, good, loving and merciful to me. These things that I don't understand, I entrust them to Him and continue seeking to step forward in faith. Because of the cross, I have every confidence that His mercy will continue.
We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. (2 Corinthians 4:8-11 ESV)
