Count it all JOY.

(From art afternoon at the Treehouse. I made this; it's now on my closet door.)

God continues to stretch and to pull and to mold my heart in ways that I wasn't anticipating when I came into this semester. He is teaching me new things about Himself, about what it looks like to love others, and about how to trust Him in all circumstances.

There's grace everywhere, and I don't deserve one bit of it.

While discussing Hamlet, we've been talking about how important it is to live exactly where we are, to never try to leave early. I'm learning alot about that this semester. Whether I desire change in my heart or changes in my circumstances, or even simply a change in the weather, right now, these very moments, are where God has me. I am to learn from them, to be content in them. God is using them to bring glory to Himself. I don't need to know anything more than that. God is faithful, and God is good.

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
-James 1:2-4

Find rest, oh my soul, in God alone.

Shannon, you're so encouraging! Thank you again for posting this.

Its so true. So often we want what is just out of our reach, and don't make an effort to be thankful for what we have right here right now.

God bless you, Shannon, I'm praying for you. *hug* I love you!
